Incident Summary:
06/01/2009: On Monday evening, in Semkhor village, in North Cachar Hills, Assam, India, unidentified militants shot dead four children and a 25 year-old woman from the Dimasa tribe. Three others were injured in the incident. The deceased were identified as Karong Thonglo, Lambo Langthasa, Warsi Thonglo, Depola Langthasa, and Senring Langthasa. It is unknown if the attack caused any property damage. No group claimed responsibility.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
