08/27/2009: On Thursday morning, in Bannang Sata, Yala, Thailand, armed assailants fired upon a Muslim civil servant on a motorcycle, killing him and damaging his motorcycle. No group claimed responsibility, although it was widely believed Muslim separatists were responsible.
