09/09/2009: On Wednesday, a car parked in the garage of a house that belonged to a pro-government militia leader in Kirkuk, Ta'mim, Iraq detonated, destroying the house. Reports suggest that the bomb went off prematurely, as the vehicle was being rigged for a car bomb attack. The blast killed eight people, all of whom are members of a single family, including a women and a child. No group has claimed responsibility.
