Incident Summary:

09/29/2009: On Tuesday evening, in El Geneina, West Darfur, Sudan eight armed men fired upon a joint U.N./African Union peacekeeping force in Darfur (UNAMID) convoy, killing one soldier and injuring two others and damaging three vehicles. The peacekeepers were escorting a minibus carrying civilian workers. No motive for the attack was reported and no group has claimed responsibility.
