10/01/2009: On Thursday evening, unidentified gunmen kidnapped two workers of a mine-clearing organization in west Herat province, Heart, Afghanistan. A security official revealed the two were captured by fighters loyal to Commander Gholam Yahya Akbari Jihadi Group. No group has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping and the status of the hostages is unknown.
