Incident Summary:

12/24/2009: On Thursday morning at 1130, a former Mujahidin or anti-Taliban resistance commander, Silab Khan, escaped unhurt when assailants detonated a remote-controlled improvised explosive device at his residence in Konduz province, Afghanistan. Two of his bodyguards were wounded. A student was also critically injured when he was passing nearby. The house was damaged in the attack. The remote-controlled bomb was placed in a water channel. No group has claimed responsibility.
