12/28/2009: On Monday, Iraqi security forces defused a roadside improvised explosive device (IED) somewhere on the main road to Karbala, Iraq. The IED was meant to target Shia pilgrims on their way to Karbala to celebrate Ashura. No casualties were reported. No monetary damage was reported. No group claimed responsibility.
