Incident Summary:
02/03/2010: On Wednesday, in Saraikela-Kharsawan district, Jharkhand, India, one Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper, identified as Janardan Reddy, was killed and two others injured when Communist Party of India-Maoist militants detonated a landmine near a police patrol. A CRPF patrol party was on its way in long range patrol in the Chowka area of Saraikela, when the landmine was detonated when the party was crossing a jungle close to Gairakocha village. No group claimed responsibility.
