Incident Summary:

02/06/2010: On Saturday night, a group of Maoists entered Kumakela village about 30 kilometers from Sundargarh, Orissa, India, and abducted Sukura Oram from his sister’s wedding ceremony. Oram’s bullet riddled body was recovered from a bridge in Champajharan on Sunday morning. Oram was branded as a police informer. No group claimed responsibility, although it was widely believed the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) was responsible.
