Incident Summary:

02/28/2010: On Sunday night, in Jowhar, Gobolka Shabeellaha Dhexe, Somalia, six gunmen armed with AK47 Riffles stormed into a house and abducted the prominent traditional elder, Abdullahi Siyad Qanyare. Abdullahi was also the chairman of the parents committee at the biggest school in Jowhar, Kulmiye Secondary School. No casualties or damages were reported. No group claimed responsibility, although it was widely believed al-Shabaab al-Islamiya was responsible.
