Incident Summary:

04/24/2010: On Saturday night, in Bankura, West Bengal, India, Parmeshwar Murmu, a local leader of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (Jamagoria committee) was abducted from his home by a group of suspected Communist Party of India-Maoists. On 04/25/2010, the body of Murmu was found near his house in the Ranibandh Police station area. Police were investigating whether it was carried out by Maoists. No group claimed responsibility.
