05/19/2010: On Wednesday, in Sam Ouandja, Haute-Kotto, Central African Republic, unknown assailants attacked Yangoupendere village, killing two civilians by unknown means, kidnapping 31 others, and burning and damaging many houses. No group claimed responsibility, although it was widely believed the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) was responsible. The status of the hostages is unknown.
