Incident Summary:

05/25/2010: On Tuesday, approximately 40 suspected Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres shot at a civilian supporter of the ruling Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M), in the Salbani area of West Midnapore, West Bengal, India. The victim, identified as Biswanath Mahato, was injured when 40 assailants wearing masks opened fire on him. No damages were reported and no group claimed responsibility.
