Incident Summary:

05/28/2010: On Friday morning at approximately 0830, at Gidhni turning near Chak basti in Palamau, Jharkhand, India, assailants detonated a landmine improvised explosive device, killing one police officer and wounding one other police officer. The deceased was identified as Upendra Kumar Singh, and the wounded was identified as Ashok Kumar Sao. No damages were reported. No group claimed responsibility, although it was believed a Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-M) faction was responsible.
