Incident Summary:

07/04/2010: Assailants armed with knives and an axe chopped off the hand of T.J. Joseph, a Newman College professor, in Kizhakkekara neighborhood, Muvattupuzha, Kerala, India. Following the assault, the assailants threw explosive devices as they escaped the area. The Popular Front of India claimed responsibility for the incident and stated "this hand which insults Islam will not be used in future."
