Incident Summary:
08/04/2010: On Wednesday, near Mahipani village in Sundargarh, Orissa, India, unidentified militants blew up a culvert (low bridge). No casualties or damages were reported. The specific motive for the attack is unknown; however, it was reported that Communist Party of India-Maoists (CPI-M) had demanded the immediate release of their colleagues that were arrested in the area on 08/03/2010. It was also reported that the militants also threatened to not allow any workers to enter the Kalta mines. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
