Incident Summary:

08/23/2010: On Monday morning, in eastern Hakkari, Turkey, unidentified militants shot an imam, Aziz Tan, in front of the Haci Sair Mosque. Tan was taken to Hakkari State Hospital where he later died. No group claimed responsibility, although the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) was thought to be responsible.
