08/23/2010: On Monday, in the Khomta area of Kurram agency, Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Pakistan, unknown assailants detonated an improvised explosive device targeting a Jirga (council) of local tribesman being held to resolve a dispute over primary school issues. Seven were killed, and an unspecified number were wounded in the bombing. No damages were reported and no group claimed responsibility.
