09/20/2010: On Monday evening, in the Chora district of Uruzgan, Afghanistan, unidentified militants destroyed one cell phone tower belonging to a private company, Afghan Wireless Communication Company. The attacked caused an unknown amount of property damage and no casualties were reported. A local Taliban commander told Afghan Islamic Press that the tower was destroyed when it failed to stop its operations for a specific time during the day despite repeated calls from the Taliban.
