Incident Summary:

09/29/2010: On Wednesday, in the al-Dawoodiyah village, Sulaymaniyah, As Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, a suspected Al Qaeda suicide bomber was noticed by Kurdish security forces, also known as Asaish, and fired upon him. The suicide bomber was forced to detonate his improvised explosive device constructed into a vest targeting a crowd of security men waiting to get their check, prematurely. Two Kurdish security force members were also wounded. No damages were reported. No group claimed responsibility; however, authorities indicated that al-Qaida Kurdish Battalions (AQKB) was responsible for the attack.
