Incident Summary:

11/24/2010: On Wednesday afternoon around 1630, at Chahmol hills in Chandel, Manipur, India, two militants shot and killed a village chief, identified as Ngamkholet Baite. The United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) militants claimed responsibility for the attack, saying that Baite was targeted for suspected links to the Kuki National Liberation Front (KNLF). Police officials, however, suspect that the motive behind the attack may have been a result of tribal enmity.
