Incident Summary:

12/17/2010: On Friday morning around 0930, between the Tuitang and Sehlon villages in Chandel, Manipur, India, suspected Manipur People’s Army (MPA) militants ambushed a 36 Assam Rifles division military patrol by unknown means injuring six soldiers and causing an unknown amount of property damage. In a statement issued by its senior publicity officer, Ksh Yoiheiba, the United National Liberation Front (UNLF) claimed responsibility, stating that the attack was in response to the visit of Indian Home Minister P Chidambaram to Manipur.
