02/17/2011: On Thursday afternoon at 1530, in Chardara, Konduz, Afghanistan, unidentified militants detonated an improvised explosive device that was set on the main road close to the public market. The blast killed a village elder and a police officer, wounded one police officer and resulted in an unknown amount of property damage. No damage was reported and no group claimed responsibility for the attack.
