Incident Summary:

04/20/2011: On Wednesday night, at Upa-Adhyaksa in Thoubal, Manipur, India, unidentified militants threw a grenade at the residence of the Thoubal Jila Parishad (local level legislative assembly), Phuritsabam Jiten. The grenade failed to explode and was later defused, causing no casualties or damages. The specific motive for the attack was unknown; however, it was suspected the attack may have been carried out for monetary reasons. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
