04/29/2011: On Friday, in al-Mosul al-Jadida neighborhood of Mosul, Ninawa, Iraq, unknown gunmen shot and killed Sheikh and tribal chief Mutashar al-Okaydi as he was 10 meters away from a federal police checkpoint. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
