05/03/2011: On Tuesday, in the village of Nimrud in Mosul, Ninawa, Iraq, the Police Director of Nimrud, Eid al-Jibouri, was killed when unidentified militants detonated an explosive device targeting his motorcade. The driver and four bodyguards were also wounded and the attack caused an unknown amount of property damage to the motorcade. No group claimed responsibility.
