Incident Summary:

05/29/2011: On Sunday afternoon at 1730, in the village of La Concha, Campamento, Antioquia, Colombia, two mayoral candidates, Guillermo Roldan of the Conservative Party and Donay Correa of the National Unity Party, were taken hostage by armed militants who identified themselves as belonging to the 36th Front of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). The mayoral candidates were later killed by unknown means the next day on Monday 05/30/2011 when the FARC rebels forced the candidates’ companions to reclaim the bodies.
