06/01/2011: On Wednesday morning in Santiago, Chile, an Earth Liberation Front (ELF) militant, identified as, Luciano Pitronello Schuffeneger, failed to detonate an explosive device at Santander Bank. He accidentally blew his hand off, set himself on fire, and lost his eyesight, however no property damages were reported. ELF militants claimed responsibility for the attack through an online post to the BiteBack website.
