Incident Summary:

07/09/2011: On Saturday evening around 2145, in Diyarbkir, Turkey, three Turkish military personnel, including two soldiers and a medical officer, were kidnapped by suspected Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) members by unknown means. The three individuals were stopped at a checkpoint near the town of Lice, which turned out to be an ambush. The status of the hostages is unknown. No group claimed responsibility, although the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) is suspected.
