08/22/2011: On Monday, in the village of Tungbhedua in West Midnapore, West Bengal, India, a civilian identified as Tapan Deswali was shot and killed by Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-M) militants. CIP-Maoist militants claimed responsibility for the killing by leaving posters in the area claiming that Deswali was a police informant.
