Incident Summary:

08/26/2011: On Friday, in Afgoye, Shabeellaha Hoose, Somalia, armed militants kidnapped the head of the Tadamun Islamic aid agency, identified as Shaykh Adan Hasan Husayn. No casualties were reported and the hostage was released on 08/27/2011. No group has claimed responsibility, but the militant group al-Shabaab was thought to be responsible for the attack.
