Incident Summary:

09/20/2011: On Tuesday, in K?r?kkale city, K?r?kkale, Turkey, unidentified militants placed and attempted to detonate an improvised explosive device (IED) that had been concealed in a box and placed on a train, but the IED never exploded. Turkish police discovered and defused the IED before it could be detonated by the militants. There were no casualties or damages and no group has claimed responsibility for the failed attack.
