09/24/2011: On Saturday night, in Konduz, Konduz, Afghanistan, a local police commander Abdul Kaliq and his son were shot and killed on their way home by unidentified gunmen. No damages were reported and the Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that the attack was carried out as a punishment for the police commander's support to the government.
