09/27/2011: On Tuesday, in Lashkar Gah, Helmand, Afghanistan, a militant detonated his suicide vehicle borne improvised explosive device near a local police chief's office, government offices, and a bakery that supplied bread to police. The blast killed the militant, and two civilians, including a child, and injured 10 policemen. An unknown amount of property damage was caused and the Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack through a text message to reporters.
