10/05/2011: Assailants abducted Medecins Sans Frontieres aid worker Daniel Njuguna Wanyoike from Afmadow, Jubaland, Somalia. Wanyoike was released or rescued on April 11, 2014 near Dhobley, Somalia. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that Wanyoike was released after converting to Islam.
