Incident Summary:

11/4/2011: Four members of New People's Army (NPA) attacked a road repair project site in Bansalan, Davao del Sur province, Philippines. The assailants poured gasoline on and set fire to four large pieces of machinery belonging to the Chinese firm Qingjian Group; the Qingjian Group was part of the ongoing project to pave portions of the Davao del Sur-North Cotabato highway. The NPA has stated that it would attack corporations that were responsible for environmental destruction and worker abuse.
