11/8/2011: An unknown number of Taliban members attacked an International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) combat outpost in Barmal district, Paktika province, Afghanistan. Ground troop and coalition aircraft responded to the assailants, repelling them. A minimum of 60 Taliban were reported killed in the incident; there were no reported military casualties. Authorities believe that the attackers originated in Pakistan.
