Incident Summary:

11/7/2011: Approximately ten armed members of the New People's Army (NPA) flagged down an oil tanker outside of Pangantukan town, Bukidnon province, Philippines. After introducing themselves as NPA, the assailants set fire to the Petron tanker. The specific motive behind the attack is unknown; however, authorities speculate that Petron may have failed to pay the NPA for protection.
