Incident Summary:

11/8/2011: Abdulmedzhid Manukyan, the deputy imam of the central mosque, was shot and killed outside of his apartment in Yaroslavl, Yaroslavl Oblast, Russia. Unidentified gunmen had shot him several times in the chest and the head killing him instantly. No group claimed responsibility for the incident and specific motive is unknown; however, local representatives speculate that the attack may have been perpetrated by nationalists as attitudes towards Dagestani residents deteriorate.
