11/21/2011: An explosive device detonated near the Prince of Songkla University in Muang district, Pattani province, Thailand. The explosion was targeting a group of police officers and the Buddhist monks for whom they were providing security. Nine people were injured, including three police officers, three monks, and three civilians. No group claimed responsibility and specific motive is unknown.
