11/21/2011: Suspected members of Al-Qa ida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) detonated an explosive device on the street in Mudiyah town, Abyan province, Yemen. Two civilians were killed in the explosion; there are no reports concerning injuries or damages. Specific motive is unknown; however, sources speculate that the attack may have been related to the capture of a local AQAP leader earlier the same day.
