Incident Summary:

11/28/2011: An explosive device detonated at a gas pipeline near al-Arish city, North Sinai governorate, Egypt. The pipeline, which supplied Israel and Jordan with gas, was damaged in the explosion. No group claimed responsibility and specific motive is unknown; however, the pipeline had been targeted several times in the past year. In addition, the attack occurred just hours before Egypt's first free election took place.
