01/15/2012: Assailants abducted a Norwegian United Nations (UN) official from his home in Sanaa, Amanat Al Asimah, Yemen. The kidnappers demanded the release of a jailed tribesman held for a terrorist attack that killed four Yemeni troops. The victim was released unharmed on January 27, 2012. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.
