01/18/2012: Three assailants attempted to set fire to a senator's house in Gombe city, Gombe state, Nigeria. When the security officer repelled them, two of the attackers retreated. The remaining attacker attempted to throw an explosive device at the house but was shot and captured by police. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.
