01/20/2012: Assailants shot and killed Enenche Akogwu in Kano city, Kano state, Nigeria. Akogwu, a Channels Television reporter, was killed in the blast. This was one of 15 incidents in Kano on the same day. Boko Haram claimed responsibility and stated that the attacks were carried out because the government failed to release Boko Haram detainees.
