01/23/2012: Assailants abandoned eight vehicles laden with explosives at a security checkpoint in Kano city, Kano state, Nigeria. When the assailants saw police checking vehicles, they ran out of their cars and left them. No group claimed responsibility, but authorities attributed the incident to Boko Haram.
