Incident Summary:

03/14/2012: Assailants abducted Silvia Abrahat, a Swiss teacher, from Al Hudaydah city, Al Hudayah governorate, Yemen. The kidnappers took Abrahat to Shabwah governorate and demanded the release of two prisoners in Hodeida. Abrahat was released on February 27, 2013 after Qatar made a deal with Al-Qa'ida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
