03/18/2012: Assailants kidnapped two Brazilian women and their Egyptian guide near the Convent of Mount Sinai in South Sinai, Egypt. All three victims were released a few hours later. No group claimed responsibility for this incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Bedouin tribespeople.
