03/18/2012: Three people attempted to plant explosive devices in Sangin district, Helmand province, Afghanistan. The would-be bombers were killed by a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) airstrike before they could successfully complete their mission. No group claimed responsibility for this attempted attack; however, sources indicated that those killed were Taliban members.
