03/20/2012: An explosives-laden vehicle detonated in a public location in Karbala city, Karbala governorate, Iraq. This was one of 17 coordinated attacks across Iraq on this day and the first of two attacks at this location. Thirteen people were killed and 48 wounded in both blasts. Al-Qa'ida in Iraq (AQI) claimed responsibility for these incidents.
